Since the middle of March 2020, stationary trade in Germany has been closed throughout the country. Exceptions are shops serving the basic supply. The latter are currently experiencing unprecedented sales due to restaurants that are also closed and the trend towards general stockpiling.

eStrategy Consulting was awarded the "TOP JOB Seal 2020" for its outstanding employer qualities. The former Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel presented the award in Berlin. The seal is awarded annually to the most attractive employers in German medium-sized businesses.

In times of threatened store closures due to the threat of the corona virus, the question arises as to how viable the German retail sector is. Part of the answer will depend on how intensively local retailers are already operating on online channels.

At the end of the year there is a buzz in German retail. Just how well the stationary retail trade can hold its own is the same question every year. eStrategy Consulting took a look at the status of digitization on site, using Berlin's Ku'damm and Tauentzienstrasse as examples.

The "Berliner Wirtschaft" - the magazine of the IHK Berlin - has in its current issue a focus topic on the digital challenges in local retail trade and in it an interview with our partner Cliff Pfefferkorn.

On 16 October 2019 Expo Day 5 of the Plug and Play Retailtech Hub took place in Munich. Cliff Pfefferkorn and Thomas Natkowski, partners of eStrategy Consulting, have been mentoring the Retailtech Hub for two years. During the Expo Day, the results of the pilot projects between startups and corporate partners will be presented.
